Dear Potential New Members and Alumni:

The Chi Phi Fraternity is one of the oldest men’s social fraternities in the United States, tracing its roots back to 1824 at Princeton University. Through the unification of several historic orders, Chi Phi has built a proud legacy focused on its core values: Truth, Honor, and Personal Integrity.

At the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the Kappa Chapter of Chi Phi has a longstanding history, originally founded in 1916. We are excited to announce that Chi Phi will recolonize at the University of Wisconsin in Fall 2025, continuing a tradition of excellence and brotherhood for a new generation of students.

Chi Phi’s mission to “Build Better Men” is centered on creating an environment where leadership, scholarship, and lifelong friendships are cultivated. Our vision for the reestablished Kappa Chapter is to attract men who embody the spirit of Chi Phi and who are committed to personal growth and service to others.

We seek to build a chapter based on the following principles:

• Recruiting men of strong character and high personal integrity
• Fostering leadership skills and encouraging campus involvement
• Promoting academic achievement and intellectual curiosity
• Developing a lifelong commitment to brotherhood and service
• Creating a positive impact within the campus and local community
